Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
Proverbs 31:28-29
Hello Lovelies,
I hope you're all doing well. I want to take some time to dedicate a few words to all the Mother's out there.
I haven't experienced Motherhood yet, but I am surrounded by many wonderful Mothers who inspire me. My mother is the biggest inspiration and I am so grateful for her. She along with my sister are the most selfless women I know. As my sister has followed in my mom's footsteps of being a wonderful mother, I hope to one day do the same. The Lord willing of course. To me, a mother is a perfect representation of Christ and His love for us. She selflessly cares for her children and loves them at their darkest times in life. In reference to my own life, I wasn't always a good child. I went through a phase when I did not treat my mother well. I was a rebellious child. There was no level of respect during this point in my life. I didn't respect myself and I surely didn't respect my mother or father. I was truly the "protocol son" running away from God and from my parents. It was the darkest time of my life and my biggest regret. I hate thinking about the girl I was then and what I put my mother and father through. But even when I was disrespectful and rebellious, my mother was still praying for me and loved me more than I knew. I'm so thankful for my mother and father's prayers because I know that God answered them. I am living proof that prayer works! I'm also living proof of the transformation that happens when we surrender our hearts and lives to Christ. I often reflect on the time when my mother was strong and loving to me. I am the woman I am today because of her and the grace of God. My biggest hope is to one day be able to show the same love and care to my own children.
But, even if I'm not blessed with the task of motherhood, I still want to be a Godly woman that other young women can look up to. Above all else, I want to shine the light of Jesus to everyone I encounter.
To all the Mothers out there, thank you for all that you do. You are a true gift from God and one of the biggest blessings in life. You are a true representation of the love Christ has for us. Please know that even when you feel tired and alone, the Lord is there with you. Lean on Him because He loves and cares for you even more than you do for your children. He will hold you and be your strength when you grow weak and weary.
Hold on to Jesus and I hope you all have a Blessed Mother's Day!
Sincerely,
Tashina Rose
