Small Town Charm

Updated: Feb 3, 2021

Hello, lovelies!

I hope you all are having a happy Saturday! I am dropping by to add some small-town love! I had the pleasure of snapping some great pics of Lebanon Ohio. I might be a little biased when it comes to Lebanon, being that it is my hometown. But, I would like to think it is more than that. I love the brick sidewalks, historic buildings, and beautiful storefronts in downtown Lebanon. I feel like it’s what some may call a “Hallmark movie town,” because of the small-town charm. The small-town charm has caught the attention of Hollywood more than once. In 2013, the Hallmark channel filmed a Christmas film in the heart of downtown Lebanon. "The Christmas Spirit," featuring Bart Johnson, Olympia Dukakis, and Nicolette Sheridan. Then less than six months later, Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett came to town. She filmed a scene at the Shaker Inn motel which is located just outside of downtown Lebanon. Flashing back to the '70s and '90s, Hollywood once again, could not resist the small-town charm. In 1978, Harper Valley PTA was filmed in downtown Lebanon. Then jumping forward a few years in 1994, the movie Milk Money was also shot in downtown Lebanon. Both films featured The Ice Cream Parlor, which is a personal favorite of mine. But it doesn't stop with Hollywood, Lebanon has also been visited by many presidents and historical figures. All of which have stayed at or visited the Golden Lamb. It‘s Ohio's oldest Inn that has been around since the early 1800s. In current times, it's visited for its restaurant located below the hotel rooms. (Another personal favorite)

It has become part of a holiday tradition for my family. We love meeting there every year in December for a Christmas dinner.
